Egg Tarts

Serving: 12
Pastry
  1. I am using 12 pieces of white bread 
Filling
  1. 150g Castor Sugar or fine sugar
  2. 150g warm water
  3. 4 Whole Eggs
  4. 250ml Fresh Milk
  5. 1/2 tsp Vanilla Extract
  6. a pinch of fine salt
Method (for Pastry)
  1. Flatten the bread. Using a tart case, press the bread into the tart cases.
  2. Bake.
Method (for Filling)
  1. Add castor sugar into warm water, mix until sugar is completely dissolved. Set aside and let it cool.
  2. Beat eggs with milk, vanilla essence and salt. Pour in sugar water. Mix well.
  3. Sift the egg mixture twice to achieve a smooth consistency.
  4. Pour egg mixture into each tart shell.
  5. Bake tarts for 25 mins at 180 degrees.
