Ginger Ambal

We called this Ambal in Sarawak, also known as Bamboo snail, kepang buluh.

I bought this really fresh looking Ambal from Kpg Buntal and use basic ingredient to cook it at home.

Here's the ingredient:
Ginger
Turmeric (Kunyit)
Garlic shallot
Black soya sauce
Salt
Sugar (optional)
Chives (daun bawang would be a better option)

Note:
  • Tak payak tambah air sebab Ambal tu sendiri akan mengeluarkan air masa memasak.
  • Sediakan bahan dlm jumlah yang banyak sikit sebab Ambal ni sendiri agak tasteless, saya letak garam dan halia lebih.

Must try, not sure you will like it or not la ;)

Most ppl prefer it cooked with curry powder.
